About
Having access to storybooks, colorful libraries, and spaces that spark imagination are essential for every child’s growth. These resources pave paths to worlds beyond textbooks and academia. They provide exposure to the vast sea of knowledge that nurtures creativity, confidence, and curiosity.
Unfortunately, for many children in government schools across India, these opportunities simply don’t exist. Without well-equipped libraries, and in many cases without any libraries at all, children are left without a space to read or dream.
That’s why Dheerya Foundation created the Belaku Experience Centres. Beyond just libraries for reading, these centers were made to create vibrant spaces for learning and exploration. Filled with books, activities, and an environment that makes education joyful, Belaku Experience Centers aim to light up young minds.
With five active Belaku Centres, we have been able to give more than a thousand children access to a library. In these centers, reading is not only about learning, it’s about discovery and possibility.
Our vision is to bring Belaku to many more schools and ensure that every child has the resources and spaces they need to grow into confident learners and dreamers.

Impact
So far, five Belaku Experience Centres have been built by Dheerya Foundation in government schools that previously had no libraries. Each centre is equipped with books, racks, and colorful spaces for children to read, learn, and explore.
At Nalanda English School, more than 300 books now take up six new racks, allowing 300+ students access to their very own library. The fresh, welcoming setup at Gangamma Thimmaiah Higher Primary School, with 300+ books, now serves over 100 children every day. At the Government Higher Primary School in Sangeguruvanahalli, again, 300+ books fill the shelves and offer nearly 300 students a space to discover ideas beyond their classroom. At Chikkalasandra, as books and racks are still being added, more than 100 students already have access to a bright and inviting environment.
Across these centres, more than 1,000 children now have access to numerous books and ideas. These spaces have created an environment where learning is fun, exploration is encouraged, and imagination is celebrated.
Our real impact is not just in the numbers. It is in the learning that we see each child get from spending more time in these spaces, growing more curious, and eager to dream of bigger futures.
